Help! I Feel Unseen

Updated: Dec 30, 2025

It's that time of year. Many are celebrating, but you feel numb. You're not sheltering in place or isolating this time. You've decided to gather, and yet you still feel as if nobody sees you.

In fact, after engaging you don't feel any better than you did before you showed face. It's left you wondering, "Why isn't anyone aware of my need, when I've been right in front of them the whole time?"

God wants you to know that He sees you, and He is present with you, right here and now. So, you can drop your shoulders and unclench your jaws. You are safe. Now, take a deep breathe. I know you've inhaled discouragement, but this is your time to exhale courage. You have the floor, space where you can be vulnerable, a nonjudgement zone.

It's just you and Him. So go for it, and don't hold back. His ears are bent to listen, and His arms are open to receive waiting for you to drop the weight. Are you ready? Open our mouth. If you want to scream, scream. If you want to cry, cry. If you need to pause to gather your bearings take your time. He's here.

You are permitted not to be okay sometimes, you're human. You've been through a lot. The overload of emotions you are feeling are normal. Yet, there is hope in God. The beautiful truth about His love for you is demonstrated through His promise to share in every one of life's burdens with you. You don't have to face them alone.

You did not stumble upon this blog by happenstance. This is your moment of freedom. You don't have to perform today, rush to meet deadlines, or tend to anyone else's need. This time was created for you and Him. He wants to hear from you, engage with you, and console you.

I know it's hard, I encourage you not to retreat until you have received all that you need!

God's love for you is multifaceted. He can handle your deepest longing, your hidden hurts, and your greatest need. He will nurture, counsel, and strengthen you all while collecting your tears and wrapping you in His tender loving care.

Remember Elohim, "The God Who Sees" always see you when no one else does! He is present to comfort you and is intimately aware of all of your needs especially when you feel overlooked. All you have to do is keep showing up to meet Him again, and again, and again!
